Chômage, activités et santé : vécu de personnes en situation de chômage

Abstract : This research aims to understand the experience of unemployed people, especially the links between their health and activities undertaken outside the labor market. The method was based on interviews with 14 long-term unemployed people involved in volunteer activities or artistic activities. Those who belong to the artistic association (n = 6) develop social interactions within the group and are able to develop normativity. In the cultural association (n = 8), in which charitable work takes place, a lack of cooperation seems to bring up again what caused suffering during employment. This research helps us to understand how group support and activities can be important at a subjective level during unemployment.
