La dyade leadership-gouvernance comme levier de changement organisationnel. Résultats de recherches dans le contexte marocain

Abstract : Seeking to understand the context of an organization is to begin the process of knowing its mechanisms. An organization can not strip itself of its context. It is not only the product of its context, it is also the generator of a context of its own and to which the actors must adapt. It is the Moroccan context and its actors that will be the subject of the following pages of our thesis. The object of our research concerns organizational change and the influence of the leadership-governance dyad in its dynamics. Leadership and governance are the hallmarks of any dynamics of change. In this process, the leader initiates the action while governance agent frames and harmonizes the measures of change. Governance is this centerpiece that accompanies and supports leadership in its actions. The dynamic of change calls for both leadership and well-established governance. Leadership and governance are both the reverse of the same coin as the dynamics of organizational change. The combination of leadership and governance allows the success of any change. The phenomenon of organizational change occurs at a Gordian knot. We wish by our research to try to provide a clue to cut this knot. Organizational change is a problem that deserves our attention and research. Because it is the lever that gives new life to the organizations that make change. Particularly, deconstructing the levers mainly leadership and governance is our attempt here. It is this dynamic that prompted us to make it our object of research. The problematic of change is at the heart of modern organizations and it is the synergy that ensures their development. Given its complexity and importance, interest in institutional change is growing in both policy and practice. Thinking about change is thinking about the development of any organization. This research is intended to be a study of the case of organizational change particularly in the Moroccan context. The aim of this paper is an attempt at understanding the issue of change through two perspectives, namely leadership and governance. We put forward the first central assumption that change is the result of a vision that the leader develops. It is not enough to appoint a leader to achieve change. For this reason, we have forged another assumption, which is the need to implement adapted governance that facilitates the implementation of any change. Our research is a plea for the concomitance of leadership and governance adapted as a lever for any organizational change. Our research focuses on two organizations where I work. This situation allowed me to combine my regular position as an employee with the role of the researcher. This situation is leading to a position of practitioner-reflector where I incorporate my status of a researcher with that of an employee.
