Réorganisation du projet professionnel et remaniement identitaire : les effets capacitaires de l’activité des personnes atteintes de maladies chroniques

Abstract : This article is about how people suffering from chronic diseases reorganize their career plans, and rebuild their identity. The argument is based on the results of an action-research about the return to or staying at work for these individuals. A thematic and qualitative content analysis has been conducted. In reference to the concepts of illness, identity, plans and activity, the role of work or out of work activities in the identity rebuilding process are highlighted. The study shows that an individual’s capabilities in an activity are linked to how far they test their body.
