Penser dans le four des concepts. Penser à perdre la raison

Abstract : The object of this article is to better understand the issues of thinking in academic institutions. The adopted approach is workplace psychology. The main references are the works of Devereux on the scientific method, Dejours on work studies, and Latour on the scientists. The method of investigation is a case study built from a clinical study of work. The article shows: 1. The control of work conformity and the tension between subjectivity and objectivity both characterize an organizational oven that explains the violence and the difficulty researchers face with regard to thinking in scientific research; 2. Researchers develop collective objectivist defense strategies and techniques of subversion/sublimation—called “submarines” and associated with clandestine spaces—on which their ability to think depends.
